Igor Butman will discuss the new cultural image of Russia with colleagues

On December 1 at the Business venue of the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum the People’s Artist of Russia, sax-player and producer Igor Burman will hold the “Translation of new cultural image of Russia through modern musical art” panel discussion. The discussion will be dedicated to the issue of diversification of Russian cultural image; to Jazz as a means of modern intercultural communication and to the issue of Russian art as an important element of Russia’s foreign policy. The following famous Russian and foreign cultural figures have been invited: head of Jazz Addicts India in Mumbai Apurva Agarwal, vice-presidend of the Skolkovo Foundation Elena Zelentsova, WBGO radio hostess (New York) Sheila Anderson, producer of the largest South Korean festival Jarasum Jazz Festival Jaejin In, TV-hostess of the “Russia-Culture” channel and assistant of the Governor of Moscow on culture Narmin Shuralieva, executive director of the Institute of Russian Culture in Washington, USA Anita Kondoyanidi and other speakers.
