The V St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum will become not solely a place for discussing important issue, but the venue for signing key agreements on internal and international level in the spheres of culture, science and arts. Dozens of delegations from cultural establishments, ministries, creative unions and private organizations will come to the Forum.
Last year more than 20 agreements were signed at the Forum. Apart from that, important agreements were reached in terms collaboration and cooperation of Russia and the global community on restoring Palmira in Syria, which had been destroyed by terrorists, and a Declaration on Preservation of Culture in Conflict Areas was developed.
Among the main agreements this year, which will be signed at the Business venue of the Forum in the Museum of Ethnography, are the agreement on Russian-Chinese association of universities of culture and arts and a memorandum on cooperation within the Saint Petersburg International Handicraft Congress. The agreement will be signed by the rector of Moscow State Institute of Culture Pavel Lobanov and the rector of Saint Petersburg State Institute of Culture Alexander Turgaev and the chairperson of the Council for the Beijing University of Language and Culture.
Several agreements on cooperation will be concluded on December 1 by the Russian Museum. Saint Petersburg State University, the Portuguese College of arts of the Coimbra University and ministers of culture of Krasnkoyarsk Krai and the Republic of Khakassia will sign agreements on collaboration and cooperation.
Tourism in Russia and increasing the level of competitiveness of Russian regions will become one of the key topics of the Business venue. Singing an agreement between Saint Petersburg and Moscow, Kaluga and Yaroslavl Oblsts will become the first step to creating a unique tourist route – “Russia – Motherland of Cosmonautics”. The agreement will be signed between tourist and cultural bodies of all four regions.
The delegation from Pskov, which is one of the most actively developing regions tourism-wise, will sign two important agreements at the Forum, which are the agreement with the Russian Union of Tour Industry on cooperation in developing children’s tourism on the basis of the “Live Lessons” pilot project on educational tourism and the agreement with “RZhD Tour” on effective stimulation of tourist flow using railway transportation.
An important event will take place in the theatre sphere: Russian theatre and concert organization will join the “Silk Road” International theatre league, organized at the initiative of the “China Arts and Entertainment Group” as part of the “Russia-China” dialogue of cultures. Several important agreements will be signed in the sphere of cinema as well. One of the is between “Lenfilm”, “Glavkino” and the Russian-Chinese Fund for development of culture and education.
Several international agreements will be concluded – on cooperation between ministries of culture of Russia and a number of foreign states. A memorandum on continuing productive cooperation, which started with the cross-cultural year of Greece and Russia, will also be signed by representatives of Russia and the Greek delegation, headed by Lydia Konniordou.
The end of the Year of Prokofiev in Russia will become one of the key topics of the Cultural Forum. It is not a coincidence that the Forum will become the venue, where the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art will sign the agreement with the Columbia University (USA) on the creation of an online-base of Prokofiev’s musical heritage.
The Union of Russian Museum will sign two agreements: internal – with the Union of Concert Organizations, which will facilitate joint organization of events and will serve as an example for similar initiatives in Russian regions, and international – with the Association of Museums of Finland, designed to systematize cooperation and to allow organization of joint Russian-Finnish projects. The State Hermitage Museum will also sign an agreement on strategic partnership with Saint Petersburg State University.
The Festival of Festivals – this year’s novelty of the V St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum – will bring a series of important agreements. The Festival is a combination of discussions and cultural events, aimed at stimulating exchange of experience on organizing international cultural event. The chairperson of the executive board of the Festival of Athens and Epidaurus Elena Teodoratou, representative of the European Cultural Forum Walter Zampieri and vice-mayor of Avignon on international cooperation and tourism Jacques Montignac, who will present the Avignon Festival, will attend the Festival of Festivals. The specificity and achievements of all presented forums and festivals, challenges of the XXI century in terms of organization and funding will become the main topics of the events. Participants will also discuss formats of future cooperation within the Festival of Festivals.
