The program of the V St.Petersburg International Cultural Forum was very eventful: discussion of acute topics, dynamic negotiations, spirited debates, noisy social events – for three days the Business Venue of the V St.Petersburg International Cultural Forum became the center of cultural life and territory of fruitful dialogue between business and society. 97 events, dozens of agreements, 4.5 thousand people including more that 750 foreign participants and speakers – that is the result of the Business Venue’s work. Leading cultural specialists, representatives of the state authorities, politicians and businessmen, heads of international and national specialized organizations, associations and unions, experts and opinion leader and representative of the media took part in business events at several city venues at once. The Russian Museum of Ethnography traditionally became the headquarters of the Business Venue.

Vladimir Medinsky was actively involved in the work of the Business Venue of the Forum. The Minister of culture held a series of important meetings and negotiations with representatives of large delegations from China, Greece, Italy and France. A lot of public’s attention was drawn by signing of the agreement on creation of the Russian-Chinese Association of universities of culture and arts that will comprise 18 Russian and 8 Chinese higher education institutes. In total, four major agreements between Russia and China were signed at the Business venue that covered several spheres and areas: cinema, theater, children’s and educational institutions, tourism and cultural heritage.

Start of new international projects of support and experience exchange in the cultural and arts sphere between Russia, European states and Asia was declared at the Business Venue of the Forum. In anticipation of the end of the Russian-Greek Bilateral Year agreements on further international cooperation were drawn.
The Russian Museum was actively involved: several major agreements on cooperation with Saint Petersburg State University, Portuguese College of the Arts of the University of Coimbra as well as Ministry of Culture of Krasnoyarsk Territory and Republic of Khakassia were signed. The agreements are devoted to the launch of the project «Russian Museum: Virtual Branch».
Much attention at the Business Venue of the Forum was paid to development of tourism and cultural and historic objects on the territory of Russia. Unique projects «The Great Silk Route» engaging 28 Russian regions situated on the famous trade way and «Russia – the Birthplace of Cosmonautics» were officially presented.
Award ceremony of the national award «Patron of the year» established by the Russian Ministry of Culture became an important event within the frames of the Business Venue. The honorary title was given to the creator of the «Yota» brand Sergey Adonyev. The overall contribution of the award nominees exceeded 2 billion roubles this year.
For the first time a special project of the Cultural Forum, a series of lectures called «Culture 2.0» took place as part of this year’s Public Events Flow. The key topic of the project was digitalization of culture and modern ways of communication in cultural medium. Master classes and open lectures of Russian and foreign experts in communications took place during the project. «Megaphon», OJSC and cultural and educational Hall Oxta Lab became the partners of the project.
The events of the Business Venue were a kind of a center of attraction. Each event was broadly publicized by leading Russian and foreign mass-media. The number of accredited representatives of press was more than 700 persons. Representatives of 15 TV companies, more than 50 print media, leading news agencies, Internet media and radio stations worked at the venue.
