The territory of the park will be divided into thematic art spaces: Poetical, Musical, Literary, Theatrical and Chess. Every of them will host the most interesting meetings and events. For those who follows the latest titles and waits for its appearance, the special guest of the Literary Hall, the writer, actor and film director Pavel Sanayev will read some chapters of his yet unpublished book “Chronicles of a Slacker 2” that he is working on right now.
The Musical Hall, that traditionally will be accommodated on the East Meadow, will become a place of meeting the greatest classical music performers, opera singers and ballet dancers. The melomanes will appreciate the performances of the winner of the TV project “Big Opera” on Culture TV Ksenia Nesterenko and the International orchestra “Tavrichesky” (artistic director Mikhail Golikov) performing the Mozart Concerto for two piano. Main performers: Anna Shelud’ko and Yevgeny Izotov – the bright masters of the Petersburg piano school. Gift and grace of the Mariinsky Theatre soloist Yulia Makhalina, the National artist of Russia and the winner of prestigious awards will not leave the audience untouched. To dip into sparkling humor and adventurous world of Ilf and Petrov “Twelve chairs” will be possible in the Theatrical Hall, where the novel will be role-played.
In the Cinema Hall the organizers will demonstrate the masterpieces of Russian cinematography from the rare old tapes to the well known ones. The visitors will be able to meet the film critic, the observer of the TV programme “Evening Urgant” and the head editor of the magazine “Cinema Art” Anton Dolin. The fashion historian Megan Wirtanen will tell the audience about fashion in Soviet movies, about its influence on the USSR ideology and style. Besides, you will get acquainted with the works of Sergey Fevralyov – the artistical director of cinema and theatre, the winner of international theatrical festivals and the awardee of such cinema prizes as “White Elephant”, “Golden Eagle”, “Nika”.
In the Poetical Hall all the courageous and original authors are welcomed to take part in the project “Tribune of Young Poets” organized with the support of the TV channel “Saint Petersburg”, where the special place will be allocated to the poetry dedicated to the Elagin Island. The best compositions will be recorded and broadcasted in the park. For those who likes the logical battles, - the Chess Hall will accommodate the simultaneous exhibitions between children and the multiple USSR and Europe chess champion Anatoly Karpov. The fest promises to become a bright summer cocktail of impressions and leave a pleasant aftertaste which will stay with you until the next summer.
